SQL Server - Enterprise Manager Cant See It

Hi All,

I'm new to this place, so if I am going over old ground I appologise!

I have set up my MSSQL db and added a new user.

I can connecto and aminister the db via the web admin.

But when I try to register the database in my local copy of Enterprise Manager using the IP: 213.230.202.16 I get the "Server Does Not Exist or Access Denied Error".

Any ideas?

Aloso, is it possible to do a backup / restore of a database I have locally? Don't to go through the db set up again if I can help it!

Thanks in advance.

Paul.

Double check your username and password, you might want to change them in helm just to make sure you typed it right first time.

There currently is no way for you to get backups, or do restores, this is thought something I believe cat2 are looking to implement in the future. For the time being if you open a ticket with what you want to do I'm sure a member of support would be happy to help you if its just a one off request.

djwelly,

Do you want to open a ticket with details of the MSSQL database and we can look into it for you.

djwelly,

Have you managed to restore the database as well?
