MySQL DB Error

Hello,

I'm having problems with the mySQL DB on my website, it hasn't found the DB/erroed since last night. I can't add a support ticket beacuse it times out

Website: uklans.com (forums use mySQL) cat601.

Many thanks,

Adrian,

When you're submitting a ticket, what times out? If you're having problems with the web interface, you can always just mail us at support@catalyst2.com.

Anyway, onto the more important bit. You were using the old database server IP (213.230.202.14) rather than the proper host (mysql.active-ns.com), so I updated it for you in config.php and it's all working again.

Thanks Rob but i've sorted it. I have to change the table prefix in the config file to lower case, strange it just stopped working, was there a mySQL server upgrade? maybe the default setting changed so you need case sensitive table names?

Yes, the server is now case sensitive. Rob mentioned this in the following post:

[MAINT] Windows MySQL Downtime
