"Write" Permissions

Back to the forum for some more questions !

I am currently creating a photo gallery, using "igallery" software. I have one running on another site without any problems ( now that the hack has been sorted) but I cant get it to work on my new site

Following error message recvd
"Database Error!

The connection string to the folder the i-Gallery database is in is configured properly but the directory/folder the database is in does not have "write" poperties. i-Gallery tested the folder by trying to write a small text file to the directory and the server rejected the request. The i-Gallery database needs to be in a folder that has write properties. Please adjust the settings of this folder then clcik on the link below to re-test the directory/folder. A successful test will enable you to move on to the main set-up screen!

Click Here To Re-Test Directory Properties "

As far as I can tell the folder does have Write permissions, but it wont work

Any ideas where I am going wrong

cheers
Paul.

Is the database in the db folder? What is the path you are using to access the database?

Regards,

Jacob

Paul,

Can you open a ticket with all the details of the installation page, the name of database etc and I will have a deeper look. For future reference, all database's should be uploaded to the db folder as it is more secure and has the correct permissions.

Regards,

Jacob
