Question Domain Alias

Hi,

I have currently got a package ("StripyAndNocturnal") and domain ("stripyandnocturnal.com") registered with Catalyst2. I have another domain registered with another company (Telivo), called "stripy.co.uk".

In order to re-direct visitors on "stripy.co.uk" to "stripyandnocturnal.com", am I right in thinking that I would need to purchase the "Domain Alias" add-on (£5) within the "StripyAndNocturnal" package?

Cheers in advance,
Pete

Question

OK, I purchased the "domain alias" add-on last Friday (3rd) and I cant see where to add the domain alias. I have tried adding "stripy.co.uk" within the "domains" section of Helm, but I get a message that reads:

"Unable to add any futher domains to this package. Please contact your web hosting company in order to create a new web hosting package or raise the limit of the number of domains that this package can host."

Is there another way to set up domain aliases or should my "domain total" be 2, instead of 1?

Btw, my account id is "CAT828".

Cheers,
Pete

In helm go to stripyandnocturnal.com settings and next to the standard options like Email Accounts (POP3), FTP Accounts etc there should now be one called Domain Aliases, simply add stripy.co.uk in there...

Hi Jacob,

I have looked in the settings and cannot see this option. I have tried refreshing the page and looking in "More domain options", but cannot see "Domain aliases"...

Cheers,
Pete

I would recommend then that you open a ticket and it will be sorted out.

Regards,

Jacob

Depending on the package you've got you may need to buy extras.

All the details you need to set up extras and domain alias's can be seen in the flash tutorials: http://support.catalyst2.com/tutorials/hend.php

HTH

Send a message via MSN to DaveLegg
You say you have purchased them. Have you actually paid for them yet? I added a set of sub-domains to my account and forgot to go to the billing section to pay. They will not be available until you have paid for them!
