Question Temp URL for accessing site

Hi folks

I haven't set up a domain in my new Windows account as I will be pointing a subdomain of mine to it in due course. In the interim I would like to use a default URL to access my webspace - I understand from the administrator that that is supported on basic Windows hosting. Can anyone shed any light on how to do this?

I have checked the online help to no avail

Thanks in advance

This is a fairly new feature.

Home > Domains > YourDomain.com > 'Click here to create temp URL'

Thumbs up

Aha, many thanks WF. I hadn't got that far as I haven't pointed my domain to the catalyst2 server yet. Anyway I have tapped in a dummy domain and it seems to work fine

Quick additional question, however: I wish to point asp.mydomain.me.uk to my catalyst2 space, and this is interpreted by the online control panel as wishing to set up www.asp.mydomain.me.uk, which is not what I want.

Is there a way an administrator can override this so that the fully qualified domain name is how I would like it?

Many thanks

If you just add it as sub.domain.com and not www.sub.domain.com in helm, then both will work.
