Managing DNS

I have been with catalyst2 sinced early 2003 and have a reseller account and I host my own sites here too.

Earlier today I was contacted by someone from ULTRADNS and they offered me a lot more speed on my site and they say that their service will increase uniques to my sites and that I would get more banner impressions and all of this will mean that I can get between 4 & 12 & more traffic and thus more money and on and on.

I have no idea what they are really offering and dont even know what BIND is. As far as I am aware all my DNS is managed by the domain name registrar that I use and your backbone. How can these ULTRADNS guys help me if catalyst2 own and manage the servers that I host my sites on?

Someone enlighten me.

Lee,

Quite suprised at them to be honest, they offer offsite dns hosting. Which we already do, their service is really targeted at mission critical services as they have a dozen or so dns servers around the world.

It won't really benefit your site
