Changing domain name (linux)
Hi, basically I have my domain currently hosted elsewhere, the DNS is handled elsewhere also. I'd like to get a new version of the site up and running smoothly on the catalyst2 server before I point my domain to here.
The problem is, it seems that all the time the DNS is pointing to another server, I can't view my site site on catalyst2 via my browser - nor can I ftp to it. Is there anyway that I can either: Do something fancy with my browser to trick the catalyst2 server into showing me my page, despite the fact that that i wont be entering domain.com as the url? or Change the name of my catalyst2 account to domain2.com and then register domain2.com and point it to catalyst2 for the purpose of testing my site? Obviously the 1st option would be prefered. I read a regarding changing domain name with Helm, but I dont seem to be able to find a way of doing it with the Linux CPanel. Thanks |

Hi,
Try using: http://mango.catalyst2.com/~username/ or http://banana.catalyst2.com/~username/ depending which server you are on. Kind Regards, Jacob
