Domain Forwarding

Hi,

I have a sub domain that i would like to be able to point a proper domain name which i bought from 123reg a while ago, the options that they give just point that domain to the sub domain but either show the sub domain address in the address bar or cover just replace it with the domain and doesn’t show and subfolders within the hierarchy, is there a way to make it so that when i type in the domain it acts as if it is actually a real domain.

I tried changing the nameservers to the c2 ones, but it hasn’t done anything, does anyone know how to do it?

Thanks for any help

Myles

Hi Myles,

Who hosts the subdomain? Who hosts the main domain? What is the subdomain? What is the domain?

Regards,

Jacob

Hi Jacob,

I guess that would help wouldnt it

the domain is hosted by C2, its www.crosswaysandseaview.co.uk

The subdomain is also hosted at C2,
myles.crosswaysandseaview.co.uk

and the domain that i want that to point to was bought from 123reg and is www.mylesnoton.com

thanks for your quick reply

Myles

Hi Myles,

You could get a dedicated IP for mylesnoton.com and then we could point the subdomain at the ip or you could just you some type of coded forwarding either using frames or a redirect.

Jacob

Hi,

It would be around £10 and you can arrange it by opening a ticket. There is another option that we could setup if the all the domains were hosted on our servers and would incur a £5 admin fee. If you open a ticket and refer to this thread we can sort you out.

Regards,

Jacob
