Thumbs down index.htm missing

I have been notified by 3 different clients over the last 2 weeks that their sites were giving a page cannot be found error. On checking the servers I have found the index page to be missing in all 3 cases. We have not been on the server to amend anything, so can't understand why the pages should disappear.

Anyone else experiencing the same?

Kate

Hi Jacob

OK. I'm on the control panel and the ASP drop down gives me 2 options: none and level1.

Level1 is already selected so do I just click save for each or should I be changing something.

Kate,

Open a ticket with your domain and I'll have a look at it.

Regards

Jas

This issue with index file going has happened a few times on a particular domain of mine. Shall I open a call?

I think it's occured twice - See my tickets on 26th June (EDE-496163) and again on 10th July (RCB-979995).

I really think it would have been a better idea to send an email out saying which domains were affected rather than wait til people noticed their own sites were missing the homepage.

I have quite a few sites with Catalyst2 and one of them went without an index.html file for a couple of weeks before it was noticed, which is kind of bad as search engines bots would have trawled in that time and thought the site was no longer there.

I honestly would like to have done that, but to identify the domains affected and compile a list of every domains admin would have taken a good 2 days I am afraid.

We did post on the forums and send an email to all users however.
