Slow mail account

Hi all,

I have a number of mail boxes I use (through the Icewarp interface).
The main one I use has now become hugely slow - is there a size limit that would cause this? anyone know what it might be?

The other mail boxes access fine and dandy so its just on the one.

Hi,

Webmail becomes very slow if you have a large number of emails. Webmail for POP3 accounts is not really designed for large quantities of emails as they are designed with the idea in mind that users will download their emails onto their computers. Maybe this will get better in the future.

Regards,

Jacob

Ok ta Jacob - it's a shame my Outlook wont work with this otherwise I would use that....I think my ISP is blocking ports but not sure.

tried the FAQs on your site about it but no good - do you have any new info on using this type of mail account with Outlook (2003)?

Thanks

Try changing the SMTP port to 225 in Outlook - under more settings and see if works.

Do you have SMTP authentication turned on? What mail server address are you using?
