MX Records and pop access

Hi,
I've recently moved the MX records for a domain to point to another IP which is using Exchange. This is all working well receiving mail.

My problem is that the user would like to download (via pop3) all their emails from the cat2 mailserver to import them into exchange. Their old email/password for webmail apparently no longer works after this MX record change. Am i correct in thinking the pop3 / webmail account would still be available after changing the MX records?

If this mail account should still be available can someone say with confidence that if I change the POP password within Helm for this user that their email will NOT be deleted? I was going to try that but I thought I better ask first!

Thanks in advance,
Ant

As long as you have not deleted the email account in helm, it will still be there. You can update the password on the mail account with no risk to your emails.

Regards,

Jacob

Thanks for the speedy response!

Password has been changed and everything is still there, phew! Let's put it down to user error (again).

Ant.
