Avoid those catchall accounts

Well there's a lesson for the uninitiated - silly me had a catchall account and I am now the proud recipient of 39,415 spam emails. I have turned off the catchall option. Wonder why I was so lucky?

Yea, they are getting hit more and more lately, we are looking at having them not setup by default now.

I have a catchall on my dlpwd.co.uk domain, and I get anywhere between 20-100 spam emails a day, which isn't too bad considering the number of sites and people that have my email address, and the number that display it publicly.

Luckily, I'm a beta tester of Google for Domains, which means Google are my email hosts, and their spam filter is excellent. Only two false positives (one contained a message from someone quoting a spam email, so thats acceptable) and only about 2 slipped through that shouldn't.
