Question Sending Mail Using SMTP and ASP.Net 2

Hi,

Is it possible to send mail from a site using SMTP?

If so, can you let me know what details are required. e.g. The Host, Port and Credentials properties please?

Thanks:

Send a message via MSN to DaveLegg
host: mail.yourdomain.com
port: 25

AFAIK, you won't need any credentials to send emails for sites hosted on one of cat2's servers, only when sending from elsewhere.

I knew it had changed from orange, but I couldn't remember what it had been changed too, so I assumed you'd pointed the dns for everyone's mail subdomain at the updated one. *updates own and hopes nothing breaks*

Hi,

I tried gauva.catalyst2.com and it gave me an error.

I then tried mail.yourdomain.com and there was no error, but no mail delivery to the test address either.

Should gauva.catalyst2.com work immediately or only from a certain date?

Thanks for your help

Darren.

Cannot connect to send email

I'm trying: guava.catalyst2.com as well my own domain name with aspNetEmail component and connect to either server.
