SmarterMail Sync for Outlook / IMAP

Hi

Would it be possible to use SmarterMail Sync for Outlook as per (http://www.smartertools.com/Products...rMailSync.aspx)? or else provide some form of IMAP access?

Would others find this useful?

Cheers

John

John,

We do have imap on the roadmap, however we are unlikely to be supporting smartermail sync on our standard hosting offerings, due to the additional complexities it brings.

IMAP is now alive and well on the new smartermail servers, we will be finishing up the migration in ernest soon, so not long to wait if you havent been moved!

Setting up IMAP e-mails

Hi Paul,

Great news about IMAP.

From the article on IMAP, you imply that you can set up an IMAP e-mail when creating an e-mail account.

I have looked in Helm and checked the reseller options, but cannot see how you set up e-mails apart from POP3's.

Can you please let us know the mechanics on setting up IMAP e-mail accounts.

Is it possible to migrate and existing POP3 account over to IMAP?

John

All email accounts can now be accessed via IMAP. No setting changes or migrations are required. When setting up the email account in the email client you need to specify that the client should use IMAP and not POP3.

Let us know if you need any further help.
