Is web forwarding ruining my stats?
I own domain www.aljames.co.uk with another provider and use Web forwarding to point the site at my blueyonder free webspace.
I also have installed yesterday, a free webcounter (Extreme tracking) - if you click on the small pixel just under the word "Enjoy!" yo will see them. The problem I have is that the referrer URLs seem all to be coming from simply aljames.co.uk ? Is this because my domain is first being forwarded to my webspace?, i.e. the previous URL is my own domain i.e. aljames.co.uk? Is that why I cannot see the true referrer? If so, will my problem be solved by taking out hosting with Catalyst and then changing the DNS? Will this solve my problem? Hope to hear from someone. Thanks Al p.s. sorry for my previous message. |

I would say so. This problem would be solved by moving on to Cat2. I would also suggest you look into using one of Cat2's stats packages, this will not put anything on your website and will give you a lot of information.
