Ftp?
I registered my account yesterday 27 Jan [tribute.co.uk]http://www.g-tribute.co.uk[/url] but cannot gain access to my FTP site ftp.g-tribute.com.
I have 1 file in my wwwroot file index.html also but this doesnt show on my sight. Is my domain still being registered or am i doing something wrong? Regards

Domain name
Is is g-tribute.com? (rather than co.uk?) It looks like that the domain name hasn't had time to traverse the globe to become active, this usually takes about 48 hours after registration of a domain name (it is reserved but the DNS entries aren't yet available on the top level DNS servers). Until then using g-tribute.com to access anything (your website/ftp/email) won't work. If you want to upload stuff to your FTP site before it goes 'live' you can use the IP address indicated in your FTP account instead of ftp.g-tribute.com but there isn't a way to preview it using an IP (I think... cos there are lots of domains per server/IP, suggestions anyone?) I hope that helps.
