Couple of small problems - avatars and banners?
Hi,
Have now got my forum up and running using MySQL and have set the forums/categories up without problems. A couple of small problems I've noticed: 1 - I've set my avatar size as maximum 90x90 and 10Kb in size. However, when trying to upload an avatar of less than this size it errors with the following: Warning: copy(./images/avatars/72223091843aed5bd00436.gif): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/mberry01/public_html/phpBB/includes/usercp_avatar.php on line 286 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/mberry01/public_html/phpBB/includes/usercp_avatar.php:286) in /home/mberry01/public_html/phpBB/includes/page_header.php on line 483 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/mberry01/public_html/phpBB/includes/usercp_avatar.php:286) in /home/mberry01/public_html/phpBB/includes/page_header.php on line 485 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/mberry01/public_html/phpBB/includes/usercp_avatar.php:286) in /home/mberry01/public_html/phpBB/includes/page_header.php on line 486 Fictional Reality Forum Index Any ideas why this is failing? Secondly I can't see an option to add a banner/logo for the front screen of my forum - is this facility available in PHPBB2? |

Hi,
It sounds like you need to update the permissions for the phpbb2 installation in File Manager in cPanel. Yes, you can change the banner/logo - have a look on the phpbb2 website about changing skins.... Regards, Jacob

Thanks Jacob - any ideas what needs to change under the permissions...?
When I go down to the level of 'includes' I have the following settings: Mode User Group Mode Read ticked ticked ticked Write ticked notick notick Execute ticked ticked ticked Permission 7 5 5 Am happy to change the values with guidance but to be honest wouldn't have a clue personally what to change them to... Will take a look on the PHPBB website for the banner query... Cheers.. Marcus |
