[RESOLVED]ESX Host failover

Hi,

At 21.43 one of our ESX hosts suffered a complete failure, I am happy to say our High Availability setup worked as expected, and by 21.45 all servers on that host had been restarted on another host in the cluster.

You may have noticed a momentary outage to sites hosted on apricot/banana/pweb1/blueberry during this time.

If you have any issues please let us know by emailing shared@support.catalyst2.com

Apologies for any inconvience caused.

Hi,

Unfortunately we have had a recurrance of this issue, it appears one of the processors in the system is now reporting errors. The system rebooted at 17.06, and all machines were moved to other hosts within 2/3 minutes.

Dell are on the case, and we will keep everything off this host until the issue is resolved.

Apologies for any inconvience caused.

Dell have replaced the system, and everything is operating normally with full redundancy.

Thanks to the high availability nature of the system, downtime due to this event was around 2/3 minutes during each failover.

Apologies for any inconvience caused.
