Password Protected Folders

After the latest HELM update we can now offer password protected folders. Before we roll them out to all users im looking for 5-6 people to test them on their domain.

If you pm me your helm username ill add the resource to the 1st 5 users, then you can let me know any problems you encounter

Will this be included with all/some the packages or be a pay for extra?

From the Helm demo it seams very easy to use.

whilst I understand your desire to increase your profits Paul, is there a real cost implication for implimenting it? If there is then thats OK but if not then perhaps you may want to simply add it to the service features. We have just been stung for VAT due to your success remember!

Compared to other hosts i feel we already give a lot of features for the money, we wont be adding any more in the near future.

Was this feature ever added? I can't see it anywhere under the HELM admin or as an extra.

Thanks,
Peter

Its still in testing! If you look at the date of the posts you will see Paul only asked for testers a few days ago.

I've been testing it myself and it's very easy to use and works pretty well.

I agree with Paul, if you've looked around there's a reason why you chose Catalyst2 in the first place and thats because it's great value for money.
They give so many features built in free of charge that they put companies such as Fasthosts to shame at least for me being a reseller....

Go check out their feature list and see whats 'really' included and you'll be in for a shock and a big bill if you really want them all.

Also the support here on the forums and using the proper support ticket system is great, quick and prompt nearly all the time, i've waited days before for resolutions to dead easy fixes from other hosts.

So whilst people might be unhappy at the inclusion of VAT now being added and an extra feature or two not being a freebie add on you really don't know how good you already get it. Catalyst2 are obviously in the business of making money so have to charge for new features sometimes to cover their costs of implementing the update, ongoing monthly licence costs to Helm and the like.

You can obviously choose not to have the extra features and pay no more, you never had them before so won't miss them!! I've known companies to increase monthly payments etc when an update had been done and expect you to pay it even if you don't want the new features!

Well that's my outburst for the day over and done with!!!!

Back to Work!

Im with you Tim. This is my 4th host, and the host I've stayed the longest at. When I talk to others who deal with hosts they think im takin the piss when I say the support is so go most issues are fixed with in the hour.
