If you want to play then set it up on your development machine! Cat2's systems are purly production not test, when .net2 is released stable I'm sure Cat2 will roll it out in good time

You don't even need IIS to check out ASP.NET 2 as vs webdev includes cassini

Paul doesn't know the meaning of busy

The .net2 role out is going to be part of some other cat2 upgrades which you should be seeing in the upcoming months

I don't suppose you have a more bit more of a specific guesstimate do you? I am currently a Catalyst2 customer and have been extremely impressed with the level of service received so far, however the availability of ASP.NET 2 is preventing me from using Catalyst to host another project I am going to be starting work on in the near future. If I know its going to be here next month for example though then I can hold off development and be able to stick with what I know and love!

Cheers

I have to echo that. I have two sites ready to go and am waiting to hear some more news. Any further news on the pilot mentioned a few weeks ago?

And again....

I have a site to roll out in Jan/Feb and I was very much hoping to use ASP2 to handle some of the features I require...

same here.

I cant fault catalyst, they have been the best hosting company ive ever used ( and ive used a lot! ) and recommended them to many clients who are now also very satisfied customers of catalyst.

But its getting to the point where .Net 2.0 is essential for me to compete as a professional solutions developer.

Any update on a ETA for .Net2.0?

I think I posted in another thread, but as soon as we recieve and test the machine to replace apple, then we will roll out .net2. Hopefully this wont be much later than Jan/Feb next year.

Oh well. See you, off to a new hosting company after 2 years with Catalyst2. I cannot wait that long for ASP.Net 2.0.
