HSBC e commerce integration

Anybody on CAT2 integrated this before?

We're having a few problems...

note from programmer:
HSBC is not going well. We may have to put some com objects onto Cat2 and register them. I have no idea how or if you can do this on Cat2 ?

The reason is, it wants to generate a Hash string that contains all the data about the order and its supposed to use a program on the merchants server to generate this and then send it to hsbc secure payments. It provides 2 .dll files ( programs that need registering on cat2 ) to do this.

Worldpay is much much easier…

All suggestions gratefully received!!

I'm not sure which language your using but I know with .net that as long as you are referencing the dll's in your project they dont need registering with cat2, just uploading.

If the components still do need registering with the server then you will need to put in a support ticket with the domain you need them for and the dll's them selves. There is normally a small admin charge for this.

Hi,

I did reply to your ticket, there is a £25 admin charge to register a dll.

I've am setting up a website using protx and lloyds.

As far as I can see the dll that needs to be installed is md5.dll for MD5 encryption.

Paul is this dll installed already?

I normally use a MD5 script written and tested which I use for password encyption that comes in the form of a single asp file but I wouldn't want to rely on this too much for eCommerce.

That dll is not installed, you would need to supply it and pay the admin fee as above.
