SSL and CPanel
Hello,
We will soon be deploying a portal on our site which allows customers to login securely, to access our services. We will be requiring SSL for a specific folder, but feel your dedicated cert solution is more likely the option to fit our requirements. On your linux CPanel systems, when the address http://www.ourdomain.com is entered, the URL points to the "public_html" folder on the filesystem. With the dedicated cert, when the address https://www.ourdomain.com or http://secure.ourdomain.com is entered, the URL points to a different folder on the filesystem, possibly "ssl" under the same parent folder. Is this correct ? Kind regards, Justin Evans |

Hi Justin,
A dedicated cert will just mirror your whole domain so that it is secure. So https://www.yourdomain.com will still point to the public_html folder. Regards, Jacob
