Question Forum Posts Vanishing

Hi, my website is on Banana I believe (www.lanarchy.co.uk). Today we seem to have had our database 'rolled back' a couple of times. Just before I went to work I noticed '27 new posts' had appeared... but they were all posts from last night, which I'd already read and all of the recent posts had vanished.

Anyone know what might have happened, or still is for that matter. I just got home from work and people are complaining posts have gone missing through the day.

It turns out it's a bit more subtle than database resets - someone moved our website to blueberry without telling us! I know there was some issue with Spamcop from cat2 to the domain where we have our personal email so the message may have gone by the wayside.

Anyway, I'm assuming because both the banana and the blueberry versions of the site are both up some users are getting one and some the other depending on how up to date their DNS is. It's all made a bit of a mess of the database but I think it's mostly sorted out now. Some queries seem to be timing out though - perhaps stuff in the database which needs repairing or perhaps some incompatibilities between MySQL 4.0 (banana) and 4.1 (blueberry) which are upsetting phpBB. Is there anyway we can get an error log out of the MySQL server or do we have to debug with PHP?

Rob,

All users that were having sites moved were emailed a few days before.

Yeah, that's OK, like I said there have been some issues sending email from my cat2 account to the domain that my main email address is on because of Spamcop - I even raised a ticket about it, but there's nothing that could be done. So I'm assuming the email went astray. What I'm more interested in right now is working out why some parts of phpbb seem to have stopped working.
