Moving from individual packages to reseller

Hi

I'm thinking of moving my domains into a reseller package. They are currently on individual basic packages, but some have a few extras and I reckon it would be worth my while consolidating into a reseller account.

It may be a dumbass question, but what are the implications for my clients? I'm assuming my individual accounts are probably on different servers, and that a reseller account is all stored onone server - true?

I'm presuming there will be site down time as they are migrated, email account issues (I'll have to recreate all email accounts when the domains are transferred to the reseller account), ditto ftp accounts etc.

What have I missed? Is there an easier option?

Ta

Alan,

Is it a windows or linux account you have?

If its windows we can easily upgrade your existing account and if required move the domains to separate users for your clients (once you set each client up a user account), no data needs to be moved, its mainly an administrative procedure and your customers wont have any of their domain settings changed or moved.

On linux depending which server the domains are on its basically the same, if they are on different linux servers we would need to move them all to the same one however. This may cause a few hours of disruption while the dns updates etc.

That a basic overview, if you need any further info let me know

I'm on Windows, so sounds like a fairly painless exercise.

Just need to check a few things for upcoming work & I'll be in touch when I set up the account.

Thanks for prompt response - much appreciated.

Cheers
