Reseller Quick-Start Guide

Here's a basic quick-start for the Reseller accounts:

The catalyst2 reseller accounts don't just give you the ability to host many domains. Our powerful Helm control system allows you to take online payments, keep records of all your customers, give each of your customers their own control panel, sell extra features, have automatic sign-up forms, have your own holding page, and much more.

Getting Started
===============

Step One: First, you'll need to setup the hosting plans you want to sell.

Click on the "Hosting Plans" icon.
Click "Add New"
Give your hosting plan a name, and then setup all the features of it.
Repeat the above until you have setup all the plans you want to sell.

Step Two: Creating your users

Click on the "Users" button.
Click on "Add New."
Add a new user, and click "Save."
Repeat the above until all of your desired users are setup.

Step Three: Each user can now add their choice of hosting plan into their account.

Click on "Users".
Click "All Users."
Click on one of your users. You can now see that user's personal control panel.
You can now click on "Packages" to make the user purchase hosting plans.

Step Four: Adding domains

Once the user has purchased his package (see "Billing" to give him it for free, if necessary), the user can now add domains into it.
Click on "Domains" then "Add New" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Resellers & Emails

Hi - I'm a web designer & thinking of going for a reseller package to use with my clients. Am I right in thinking that the power plan (for example) would give me enough for 50 clients with one domain, one db & 2 emails each?

I just bought my 3rd site with you so I'm obviously pleased... but... Any other hosts I've used have offered 50 or more emails per domain. What's the crack with this single email thing?

Thanks,

Marrin

Yes, actually there is no a limit on the number of databases, just a limit on the number of DSN's.

It's what we offer, we don't overload our servers ensuring stability and reliability for you and your clients.

You can always add extra's to your account and customise the package that you want.
