Hosting package advice please
Hello all.
I'm looking at Catalyst to replace my current free hosting solution. At the moment, I have 2 domains which I point to free web space. I'd like to create a new third domain, hosted by Catalyst, and then point the other 2 domains to subdirectories of the catalyst one (I don't really want to alias, as the intention is to wind these other 2 domains down...) 1. Which windows hosting package would best suit my needs (i think the mega deal would be enough personally...) 2. I write ASP, and I notice that ASP is supported. I take it that user controls (i.e. VB written DLL's that ASP can call) are not allowed. 3. If I purchase a domain seperately, is it better to transfer the IPS Tags too? Many Thanks in Advance |

1) Your package depends on your needs, all support the same technologies, it then becomes about how much diskspace, emails accounts, bandwidth and SQL Databases you want/need
2) DLL's are allowed and work with out a problem. 3) I'm not quite following what you plan to do with your domains. If you buy a 3rd one with Cat2 or other either the DNS records will need to point to Cat2 or you can change the IPS Tag to put the domain with in Cat2's control (email support when you do this to let them know they have control) or you can change the named servers to point to Cat2. Depending on how your current domain management system is set up you will need to point them to www.newdomain.com/subdirectory. Hope that helps Jas

Sorry I was thinking hypervox ment dll's used in the same way there used in .net projects. Ie not installed but uploaded and called, so dll's that dont need to be registered with the OS.
