Hosting 2 sites

Hello! I am hoping to host 2 fairly low-traffic sites with you (Mega Deal linux), but I would just like to check what my options are.

Can I host the 2 seperate sites on one Mega Deal package? Is there an additional charge for this (and what is it, including VAT, if so)? How would I go about it?

I think that I will be registering the domains with 1&1, so where would I need to point them?

Or is it just best to buy two Mega Deal packages and be done with it?

One last thing - am I right in believing that the data transfer limit includes FTP traffic?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,

Yes, you can host 2 sites of one package. The cost of a mega deal package is £14.09 a year (inc. VAT). To host more than one domain on your package will cost £10 a year per extra domain (called an add-on domain).

In 1&1 you will just need change the dns to point to:

ns5.catalyst2.net
ns6.catalyst2.net

Yes, on linux packages, FTP traffic counts towards bandwidth usuage.

If you have any further queries, just post back.

Regards,

Jacob

Thanks very much for the info and the quick reply.

I have looked over things and (since the websites are for two different businesses that we run from home) I have decided that it is worth paying just a little bit more and getting two seperate accounts so we get more data transfer etc.

I will be purchasing them as soon as I can get hold of the domains (1&1 keeps trying to change my postal address to one in the next town !)
