Domain Transfer and hosting

Hi,

I have a domain registered and hosted with another provider. I have about 6 months of the hosting left them. I want to transfer across to Catalyst2 and i am willing to continue paying my over provider even though i wont be using it. Can you tell me if this is possible. I am not sure how it works. Also what will it cost me to transfer my domain to you.

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Yes, that is possible. What type of domain is it i.e. is it a .com/.co.uk etc?

Regards,

Jacob

You're welcome. The transfer fee is £15. All you need to do is open a new account with us and when you sign up select the transfer domain option. In order to make sure the transfer goes through correctly please ensure the following:

1) The domain is unlocked
2) That you have access to the administrative contact email address for the domain and that you follow the instructions in all emails sent regarding the transfer.

If you have any other queries, feel free to let us know.

Regards,

Jacob

P.S. It is Saturday here

You need to ask your existing registrar to unlock it for you. If you open a ticket with the domain name we can check that it has been done.

Regards,

Jacob
