Hi folks,

I used to host a website here some time ago and was very happy with the service.

I've recently joined a photography club and they would like a website. I've offered to set one up for them and thought that Catalyst2 would be perfect for the job.

I'm interested in the basic Linux hosting package. My only concern is the monthly bandwidth. Although the group is relatively small, I'm guessing a fair few photos will be viewed per month. If we require extra bandwidth, what would the charge be?

I also noticed that the account would be limited to one email address on the basic package. Would it be possible for an added cost to increase this to about 25? I'm guessing that later on the membership might like an email account.

Finally, how much is domain registration? In the past I've paid for a domain for two years and then a renewal letter came through for £80! They certainly would not be able to finance that amount for a domain renewal. Could you please clarify what generic costs are behind hosting a domain after the setup fee and after the initial two-year period.

Hi Steve,

For extra bandwidth we charge £2 + VAT per GB or £5 + VAT for 5GB. We charge £1 per year for each extra POP3 account. You can find the domain registration prices at: http://www.catalyst2.com/domain_registration.asp

If you are wanting more bandwidth and email addresses, it may be cheapest to buy a larger package initially rather than adding things on to the Mega Hosting Deal package.
