hosting - back-up of files

Hi

My company is looking at out sourcing the hosting all of our sites.
I have personally used Catalyst2 for years and have been very pleased with your service. However our IT department is concerned that you only do weekly back-up's of Can you explain why this is only carried out once a week?

Darren,

We perform weekly backups of site files for our own disaster recovery purposes, all customers should also keep their own backups as these are not guaranteed to be available.

It is weekly because of the number of machines to backup, and most sites don't change that often, so weekly is more than adequate. We do however take daily backups of MSSQL/MySQL and any data that changes regularly such as DNS zones etc.
