PSNews
Im trying to get PSNews running on my Linux hosting.
All has installed ok but the news is not showing on my web page. To see the error go to http://www.twfnews.com/news2.shtml The version of PSNews Ive downloaded is from here http://www.psword.com/psnews/download.html (its the psndevel062003 version) One more thing, when I look on my error log on cPanelX, the following error is shown client 82.42.119.23] unable to include "/home/ball06/public_html/news/include.cgi?cat=all&tmpl=defhead" in parsed file /home/ball06/public_html/news2.shtml [Thu Mar 2 19:54:05 2006] [error] [client 82.42.119.23] File does not exist: /home/ball06/public_html/home/ball06/public_html/news/include.cgi PLEASE can somebody help? This has been going on for months and I know its something simple but I cant see it. Thankyou in advance |

Hi,
You are referencing the file: /home/ball06/public_html/home/ball06/public_html/news/include.cgi surely this is wrong...have you checked your settings. Should it not be trying to find: /home/ball06/public_html/news/include.cgi ? Regards, Jacob

Im still having problems with this and seem to be getting nowhere fast.
Looking in the error log I get this Tue Apr 11 19:18:44 2006] [error] [client 82.42.119.23] unable to include "/home/ball06/public_html/news/include.cgi?cat=all&tmpl=defhead" in parsed file /home/ball06/public_html/news2.shtml [Tue Apr 11 19:18:44 2006] [error] [client 82.42.119.23] File does not exist: /home/ball06/public_html/home/ball06/public_html/news/include.cgi I dont get it as include.cgi DOES exist and is in the folder it states! PLEASE help as I know this prog works & Im now desperate |

Hi,
It's really unlikely that the path /home/ball06/public_html/home/ball06/public_html/news/include.cgi exists, as it'd mean that you'd created another folder called "home" under your public_html folder (I checked, there's not one there :-)). I suspect that there's a path setting you've got wrong somewhere - the absolute path to that file would be /home/ball06/public_html/news/include.cgi Hope this helps, Rob
