www.sandstone-rocks.com

Hi guys
I've just signed up to catalyst2 and must say I'm well impressed. I've found the support excellent and what appears to be a nice friendly user group.
Ive just uploaded .sandstone-rocks and would like your feedback if you get the chance.
I'm pretty much a website novice and am aware of a few short commings already eg the sight will probably only work in ie5+ at 1024x768 etc but it's a start and hope to make big improvements with practice

It works good (I think) in Firefox 0.8.0+ (20040515). I must say that you use lots of javascript which isn't too good but it's a nice site.

please don't get it down to

...THIS WEB-SITE was lovingly hand-crafted with only the finest pedigree of fonts and colors, via an "Internet Explorer" viewing program at a screen format of 800 x 600. If you are viewing this WEB-SITE with adifferent manner of viewing tools, you may experience graphical problems, mechanical malfunction, lay-outs in disarray, mysterious vapors, loss of appetite, and almost certainly a slight irritation of the bowels and a general sense of higgeldy-piggeldy. I cannot be held responsible if you never sleep again. Do not aim directly at eyes or face.

level.

Yea also an msn tab .
But I'd need to find a good tab service for that - or set up our own.

MSN supports these tabs...although I disabled them - it is a little effort to create a msn tab (i.e. we made the page and only need the integration).

Thanks for the positive feedback you guys I have to agree there is probably too much reliance on javascript but hey the photos are pure pants and need a major sorting out!
I've spent a bit of time making sure that the pages all validate as transitional html but what's the benefit?

The biggest benefit is that your pages will work in most browsers and you'll get some bugs out (e.g. if you missed some end tags).
Most javascripts will work in non-IE browsers, although, some of them rely on IE proprietary functions (e.g. filters). Others written in the browser war days use browserdetections (which you shouldn't do - never!), or still think netscape is at version 4.
