givemehelp.co.uk sidebar edition

Today we've launched the givemehelp.co.uk sidebar edition, you can add and try it by going to givemehelp.co.uk and using the links to add the sidebar to your browser.

Nice site, Mark

Which approach are you using to make asp.net compliant with xhtml: output filtering, overriding classes, buying-in a solution, or something else...?

MS screwed up big-time in this area of asp.net's architecture. Don't get me wrong, I love .net and c#. Its just asp.net that gets me mad.

Are you going to deal with the javascript and inline-CSS issues too ?

Cheers
David

I'm getting quite interested in your site, you seam to be going for a very idealistic site design and implementation with all the bells attaches. Are you planning on releasing any documentation? Quite interested in looking at some of your code.

Thanks!

The XHTML validation is done simply by filtering the output. The javascript bugs have already been fixed with the same code and any other problems will be looked into .
Just remember one thing...we're not going to buy any code or use someone else's (the phpbb forums are also temporary).
We plan on writing lots of articles, and I'm sure we'll also cover some of the techniques we use for the site.

I'd also like to add that givemehelp is still well under construction, we are taking time to use proper design methods such as UML..

I wonder how many people within this community create their sites without a proper design strategy!

There are many cool features we have planned. I hope that our site lives upto our expectations.
