FavourXchange.com

Hi All,

I've just launched FavourXchange.com, and its proving quite successful. Just interested in your ideas and thoughts on the concept and the site itself - any feedback greatly received! :-)

www.favourxchange.com

Cheers,
James

Great concept, would be happy to get involved but unfortunately not prepared to pay £10 for the getting 'favours'...sort of defeats the object of the exercise if you see what I mean. How about using the same concept as expertsexchange.com - you either pay OR you earn lots of points from doing favours and then you can ask for favours using up your points?

Just my thoughts!

Regards,

Jacob

Hi Jacob,

The vote is still out on the subscription fee at the moment, some people share your opinion whilst others see it as a small price to pay in comparison to the money they can save by using the site... At the moment, I'm just looking to it as a method for financing advertising and hosting so the other possibility is having advertising on the site, although this is something I'm quite opposed to.

We are also running a referral program where you can earn a £1 for every referral you make. To take part you must sign up (but don't have to pay - so your account is inactive). You can then login and apply to become an "Agent" whereupon you will be given your agent code. Simply stick this in an email to friends and family and they use it when signing up.

Thanks for your feedback!

James

Just a note, your site is horribly broken in Safari on OS X 10.3.8 You may want to look into it.

If you don't have a Mac to test on, you can drop me a PM and I'll throw some screenshots your way.
