Using the backup facility on VPSs
Hi,
Noticed the third partition mounted on /backup, do i just dump files into here and they are automatically backed up?

The files currently get dumped once every 2 days, I'm working on a solid custom backup solution for you guys though as part of the new administration interface.

Are they backed up to some kind of removable media?
I think i'll still backup my mysql databases externally anyway but it's nice to know.

Dumped to a NAS in the rack, although we are looking at mirroring that to another NAS in another DC

Another quick one on this, can i just create symbolic links in the /backup directory that link to eg. my web root and then all that will be backed up?
